Teli Ka Mandir
One of the oldest temples in the prestigious Gwalior Fort in Madhya Pradesh, Teli Ka Mandir, built in the 11th century, is originally dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Teli Ka Mandir is the tallest among all temples in the fort and elevates to a height of 100 feet.
The architecture of the temple is a blend of the Dravidian and Nagara styles that are specific to south and north India respectively. The name Teli Ka Mandir has several interpretations and the most prominent among them is the legend of Teli people (oil merchants) who were said to have taken the initiative for the construction of the temple.
