This video has for you the Taj-ul-Masjid; one of the largest mosques in India, situated in Bhopal, the capital city of the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Taj-ul-Masjid, which literally means ‘crown of mosques’ is a huge pink mosque with two massive white-domed minarets and three white domes over the main building. It is said that the construction of the mosque was started by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum in 1868 but was completed after his death in 1901.
One of the prime attractions in Bhopal, this pilgrim centre is also used as a madrassa (Islamic school) during the daytime.
