The Sun Temple and Kaliadeh Palace, Ujjain
Standing high on the banks of River Kshipra, the sun temple and Kaliadeh Palace has a lot to say about Ujjain’s history. Kaliadeh Palace, mainly built in Persian architecture, has two Persian inscriptions which records the visit of Emperor Akbar and Jehangir to this palace.
The palace and the surroundings were broken by the Pindaris and later restored by Madho Rao Scindia, ruler of erstwhile Scindian dynasty reigned Gwalior.
