Public Audition Hall of Raj Mahal Palace, Orchha
It is the public audition hall where the erstwhile kings of Orchha, the historical town in Madhya Pradesh, had once listened to the problems of their subjects.
Built by the deeply religious Madhukar Shah, the Raj Mahal palace is situated to the right of the quadrangle where many more mansions and temples are located. The interiors of the palace have exquisite colourful murals, on a variety of religious themes.
The town of Orchha, which lays by the river Betwa, had been chosen by King Rudra Pratap, the Bundela chieftain, as the capital of the dynasty. The town even now hosts many fine historical monuments belonging to the Bundela era.
