Malik Mughith’s Mosque at Mandu
Malik Mughith’s Mosque, built in CE 1432 by Malik Mughith – the father of Mahmood Khilji, is one of the oldest mosques situated at Mandu in the State of Madhya Pradesh in India. Mandu is a fortress town situated on the Vindhya Ranges and is situated about 100 km away from Indore.
The porch of the mosque was once surmounted by a dome which has disappeared now. The main doorway of the mosque has turquoise tiles with fine Islamic calligraphy on them.
