Vamana Temple, Khajuraho
Featured in this video is the Vamana temple dedicated to Lord Vamana – one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Situated to the north of the Khajuraho village in Madhya Pradesh state of India, Vamana temple is situated amid lush greenery.
The temple is surrounded by barley fields and this majestic and lovely temple belongs to the eastern group of temples. The temple architecture is simply amazing and is similar to that of the largest temples of Khajuraho.
The temple consists of a sanctum, a single tower or shikhara an atrium, and a mahamandapa. Unlike in other temples at Khajuraho, this temple has framed niches containing diamonds in the place of sculptures.
