Khajuraho Jagadambi Temple
The Jagdambi Temple, located at Khajuraho in the central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh is famous for its erotic carvings in stone. The temple shares the same plinth as Kandariya Temple to the south.
The Jagadambi Temple belongs to the western group of temples in Khajuraho. The temple is named after the image of Goddess Parvati now enshrined in the temple. However, it is assumed that the temple was originally dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The Khajuraho group of temples has been included in the World Heritage List for their outstanding universal value and human creative genius.
