Heliodorus pillar in Vidisha
The Heliodorus pillar, known locally as Kham-Baba is a stone column that was erected around 110 BCE in Vidisha near modern Besnagar. The pillar is named after Heliodorus, a Greek ambassador of the Indo-Greek king Antialcidas who commissioned the erection of this pillar. Vidisha is located 5 miles from the Buddhist stupa of Sanchi.
