Ghantai Temple, Khajuraho
Situated to the south of Duladeo Temple in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh state of India is the Ghantai Temple, a famous Jain temple.
The temple is noted for its exquisite architecture which resembles 10th century temple designs. The chain-and-bell (ghanta) carved on its tall conspicuous pillars are the major attractions here and are one the finest of medieval Indian sculptures.
Ghantai Temple has an embellishment portraying the 16 dreams of Mahavir's mother and a multi-armed Jain goddess on a winged garuda (eagle).
