On sale is the Mandu ki Imli or Baobab fruit
Mandu ki Imli, local parlance for Baobab seeds, is a special kind of tamarind used by the people of Mandu in the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. The fruit which looks like papaya is originally the fruit of Baobab tree and Mandu is the only place in the whole of Asia where one can found Baobab trees. Scientifically known as Adansonia the tree is a native of African lands.
The Baobab fruit is considered to be highly nutritious as it is a good source of Vitamin C and calcium. The video shows a roadside vendor selling the Mandu ka Imli and nearby one can also see the fully ripened Baobab tree.
