P. T. Narasimhachar, Kannada playwright
Purohita Thirunarayana Narasimhachar or P. T. Narasimhachar (17th March 1905 – 23 October 1998) was a playwright and poet of Kannada language. He was one of a trio of Kannada Navodaya poets and the other two are Kuvempu and D. R. Bendre. Commonly known as Pu Ti Na, his writing depicts the beauty and majesty of nature that borders on the spiritual.
He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1991. Gokula Nirgamana, Ahalye, Ramapatabisheka and Seeta Kalyana are his most important musical dramas. Hanate, Mandaliru, Sharadayaamini, and Hrudaya vihari are his collection of poems.
