How to wear a Pochampally sari in Gujarati Style?
Gujarati draping style is a very popular sari drape among north and north – West Indian women. Shown in this video is Pochampally sari wearing in Gujarati style. To begin with, one end of the sari is tucked in the petticoat at the left waist, the remaining portion is taken round the back from the left and brought in front to form a few pleats or Patali which are tucked in near the navel. Gujarati sari wearing has probably been influenced by the dress depicted on the Mughal miniature paintings, the mughal skirt and muslin shawl wrapped around the upper part of the body. The pallu is draped like the mughal dupatta.
