How to wear a Jamdani saree in Bengali style
In India, the saree is considered as the traditional wear of the women in most parts of the country. Featuring in this video is the traditional handloom sari – the Jamdani of Bengal. Jamdani sarees are the handloom woven fabric made of cotton. Originating in Bengal, the Jamdani weaving tradition is historically known as muslin. It is elegantly worn around the body as seen in the video and the pallu (the portion of the sari worn over the shoulder) usually has a bunch of keys at its end.
