How to wear an Andhra Sari?

The history of sari can be traced back to the Indus Valley Civilization. This traditional 9 yards of cloth is an Indian woman’s best friend, through the various stages of her life. As India is a diverse country, different regions have their own traditional saris.

This video shows how to wear an Andhra sari, which is worn in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The sari is pulled between the legs and tucked at the back, which is different from the usual style of wrapping it around the legs.  This method of wearing the sari allows the woman more freedom of movement.
