Shri Madiyan Kulom Temple in Kanhangad
Dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, Shri Madiyan Kulom temple is located around five kms from Kanhangad in Kasaragod district, Kerala, India. Situated in a well set village of Ajanur, the temple also has other deities like Kshetrapalan, Bhagavathi and Bhairavan.
This temple has some specialties when it comes to the daily rituals offered to the deity. Here a Brahmin priest performs pooja only in the noon whereas the morning and evening poojas are carried out by a particular sect called Maniyanis. Major festivals in the temple fall during the months of May—June and December—January.
