Taxonomic Garden at Nilambur
Nestled among various species of plants having high medicinal properties, the taxonomic garden at Nilambur, Malappuram district of Kerala, India brings resurgence in the science of finding, naming and classifying plant species.
First of its kind in the country, this garden was set up by the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) inside the Bioresources Nature Park, which spreads over an area of 5 acres of land. This garden features more than 1,000 flowering plants belonging to about 127 families. The Bioresources Nature Park is located near the Teak Museum in Nilambur.
