Tribal cuisine made of Spinach - Senthal Adaku
Senthal, an edible plant similar to spinach available in the tribal settlement of Kerala is used for making this dish.
Ingredients
Spinach
Salt to taste
Water
Method of preparation
Take an earthen pot and add some water into it and leave it for boiling. When the water gets boiled, add the washed leaves into it. Stir well. Remove water to drain the leaves of their bitter taste.. Add salt to taste. When it is fully cooked, serve the Senthal Adaku in a banana leaf. No oil or any spices are used for the preparation of Senthal adaku.
