Rituals of Machattu Mamangam
Machattu Mamangam, a five-day annual festival is celebrated at the Machattu Thiruvanikavu temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, at Vadakkancherry, Thrissur district of Kerala, India.
Like every other festival of Kerala, this also reflects the cultural traditions of the State. Famous for its Kuthirakolams (effigies of horses), Machattu Mamangam is noted for several rituals. The video here shows some rituals associated with the festival, prior to the pageant.
