Clay pots for Sale in Wayanad
Clay pots, regionally known as kudam are believed to be used just to cook food and to boil water. It is a fact; those who use clay pots mostly use them for the above purposes. But it is not necessarily so. They also occupy a special place during rituals as in the case of the pongala ritual, usually held as part of festivals in the Bhagavathi temples of Kerala.
These pots appear on the streets of Thiruvananthapuram city during the annual pongala festival held at the Attukal Devi temple. Sides of the roads and lanes leading to the temple would be stacked up with clay pots, which are sold to devotees taking part in the pongala ritual.
The video has for you a group of pot sellers near the famous Valliyoorkkavu temple, located about 3 km from Mananthavadi, in Wayanad, a hill district of Kerala.
