Morning View of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple
One of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples in India, the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple located in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, stands out for its unique blend of architectural styles. The 18 feet long idol of Lord Vishnu here is found in a reclining position on the Serpent King Anantha.
Managed by the Royal family of Travancore, the temple is noted for its mural paintings and stone carvings. Recently, in an archaeological finding, gold and jewels of very high value were found in the vaults of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, which turned is now reckoned as the wealthiest shrine in the world.
