Jamunapari Goat - a goat breed from Uttar Pradesh
A native of Etawa in the State of Uttar Pradesh in India, Jamunapari or Jamnapari goat is quite large among goats with folded ears and prominent Roman nose. This breed has got a majestic appearance and derives its name from the River Jamuna in Uttar Pradesh.
The males of this particular breed can weigh up to 60 kilograms whereas females usually weigh about 50 kilograms. The average lactation per day of Jamunapari goat is in the range of 1.5 to 2 liters. The meat of Jamunapari goat is said to be low in cholesterol.
