Hydrophyte Garden in Nilambur
The Hydrophyte Garden situated inside the Bioresources Nature Park at Nilambur in Malappuram district of Kerala, India. The garden offers more than 50 species of plants that represent different forms of hydrophyte species. In this garden one can find different varieties of hydrophytic plants or aquatic plants such as floating hydrophytes, submerged and rooted hydrophytes, emergent rooted hydrophytes, and floating leaved and rooted hydrophytes. The magnificent water lilies and lotus in this garden is really a feast for your eyes.
The Bioresources Nature Park, established by Kerala Forest Research Institute at Nilambur, features conservation of varieties of algae, bryophytes, pteridophytes and plants found in specialized ecological niche such as xerophytes (cacti and succulents) and hydrophytes.
