Elephant bathing, Alappuzha

Kerala in India is a popular place because of its multifarious culture. Since Kerala is a place of historical importance, elephants are an integral part of the state’s culture. In this video you can see an elephant bathing near the backwaters of Alappuzha.

Elephants being a proud symbol are mainly used for the annual festivals that occur in the temples in Kerala. Before the festival the jumbos are taken out to the backwaters to have a bath which the animals enjoy very much.
