Kallar River in Thiruvananthapuram
Kallar, a small town in the district of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, is located on the way to the popular hill station Ponmudi, literally meaning ‘Golden Peak’. A beautiful destination Kallar gets its name from the River Kallar, which flows through the region. The river is well known for its abundance of attractive, round-shaped boulders and pebbles, especially in the upper reaches and middle portion of its course. Many varieties of birds and trees can also be seen in and around Kallar.
