Chandragiri Fort, Kasaragod
Located south-east of Kasaragod town in Kerala, Chandragiri Fort, almost square shaped one, is situated near the confluence of the Payaswini (Chandragiri) River and the Arabian Sea in Kasaragod district. Built in the 17th century by Sivappa Naik of Bedanore, the fort is situated 150 feet above sea level and sprawls over an area of about seven acres.
The fort and the location offers a striking view of the surrounding places that should be felt experienced at least once and is a vantage point to watch the sunset from here. The fort now confronts danger as it is in a ruined state.
