Shashi Tharoor's Speech

“Lack of ability to speak fluent English is a serious problem that young people of India faces,” says Shashi Tharoor, Union Minister for Human Resource Development. He said this during the inauguration of ‘A Celebration with Letters,’ a programme organized by the Institute of English and the Centre for Cultural Studies in the University of Kerala to mark the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Kerala University’s English Department.

Dr. Tharoor speaks about the growth and recession of English language in the State over the past 50 years.
