Election campaigning - well-rooted democracy

Kerala, being a highly democratic and politically conscious state, views its elections with utmost concern and seriousness. Election to the 140 seats in the state assembly is held once in five years. The submission of nomination by the candidates follows a vigorous and enthusiastic campaigning. Each of the political parties makes it a point to get their campaign as effective as possible with house visits and election speeches at public meetings.
