Kallen Pokkudan about Mangrove Forest
An environmental activist, Kallen Pokkudan popularly known as Kandal Pokkudan is well known for his love for mangroves as he believes that mangrove preservation is today’s need for the swamp ecosystem.
For those who love to be in a lush habitat, Kallen Pokkudan is a paradigm. He started planting mangrove seeds when he was a teenager and made them the guardian angels of this environment. Hailing from Kannur, in the state of Kerala, India, Kallen Pokkudan is also active in Dalit movements.
He recently acted in a film ‘Papilio Buddha’ that deals with the attrocities against Dalits in Wayanad, a hilly destination of Kerala.
