Snakes mating; frightening yet fascinating
It’s like you want to look away, but you can't. Snakes probably top most people’s list of scariest creatures, but their mating patterns are as "romantic" as any other beings. When a female is ready to mate, she begins to release a special scent from skin glands on her back. If a sexually mature male catches her scent, he will follow her trail until he finds her. And then it results in an hour, or sometimes a day, of twisting around each other as you can see here with these non-poisonous water snakes.
