Choolanur Peacock Sanctuary, Kerala
Located around 30 km from Palakkad district of Kerala, India, is the Choolanur peacock sanctuary, a home to about 200 peacocks. Shown in the video is a fascinating view of a peacock dancing at Choolanur sanctuary.
The sanctuary sprawls over an area of 500 hectares of thick forest. It also has a variety of medicinal plants. One can find more than a hundred species of birds and butterflies in this sanctuary.
Kunchan Smrithivanam, a 200 hectare forest which was formed in the memory of great Malayalam poet Kunchan Nambiar, is also a part of the sanctuary.
