Elephant Herd at Mattupetty, Idukki

Mattupetty is a location situated in Munnar and a famous hill town in Idukki district of Kerala, India. Embraced by the rolling plantation hills of Munnar, Mattupetty is situated at a height of 1700 m, and is a delight for nature lovers.

One of the most exciting sights that you get from here is the moving elephant herds in the tea gardens of Munnar. Besides, the spot is famous for trekking and is home to a large variety of birds.
