Bhajan by Ayyappa devotees
Sabarimala, a famous hill shrine of Lord Ayyapa, is located on the banks of river Pamba in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. Ayyappa Bhajans are very popylar in Kerala during the Pilgrim season at Sabarimala, Mandalakalam. It is the singing of devotional songs dedicated lord ayyappa by his devotees. Musical instruments like harmonium and tabla are used.
During the season, bhajans and other religious programmes are held with people participating, irrespective of caste and creed. This is an essential part of the fasting and other religious observations related to the pilgrim season at Sabarimala.
