Siddhi Vinayaka Mahayagam, Kannur

Kannur witnessed a 15 days long Mahayaga (Great Sacrifice) performed for the sake of world peace. It was conducted from April 17, 2007 onwards. The Yaga was performed under the auspices of Siddhi Vinayaka Trust in the premises of Chirakkal high school, Kannur.

The Yagam was lead by Vinayaka Chandra Deekshithar of the Siddha Linkeswara Kovil in Coimbatore. 25 Vedic scholars and 150 helpers of the Kumbhakonam Veda Patashala assisted him. Over 20,000 people took part in the ceremonies every day.
