Neithilakkavu temple - A proud participant of the Thrissur Pooram festival
Thrissur Pooram, the most spectacular festival of Kerala is held every year in the month of Medam (April–May) as per the Malayalam calendar, at the premises of the Vadakkumnathan temple.
The festival is a joint effort of the nine participating temples that make this event spectacular. The main participating temples are the Thiruvambadi and the Paramekkavu temples, while the others are the temples of Kanimangalam, Karamukku-Chiyyaram, Choorakkattukara-Amala, Laloor, Ayyanthole, Neithilakkavu-Kuttoor, Chembukkavu and Panamukkampilly.
Special rituals are held at Neithilakkavu as part of the pooram. Being a seasonal event, it is not possible to include it in the travel itinerary.
