Christmas Shopping

Like elsewhere in the world, X’mas stars, trees, cribs and greeting cards form an integral part of the Christmas celebrations in Kerala. Streets get dotted with a variety of Christmas markets and ‘sales-cum-exhibitions’.

In the video, one such exhibition is seen. Held in the Vellayambalam Animation Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, the Square One Christmas Exhibition attracts a large number of people.

The annual carnival features a wide variety of Christmas curiosities including stars, Santa Claus dolls, decorations and the like. Cakes of some 30 varieties are another attraction of the exhibition.
