Yagachi dam at Belur in Karnataka, India

The Yagachi dam, built over the river Yagachi- one of the tributaries of river Kaveri- is situated near Belur in Hassan district, Karanataka. This reservoir was dedicated to the nation in 2004 and it serves as a major source for the irrigation of fields in Hassan and Chikkamagalur district in the state. It is considered to be one of the backwater destinations in the state.
