Hazara Rama Temple at Hampi
Hazara Rama Temple is the royal temple at Hampi dedicated to Lord Rama. The temple is embellished with bass relief’s depicting scenes from the epic Ramayana. The walls of the enclosure are richly carved with friezes depicting processions of elephants, horses, dancing girls and soldiers attired in splendid armour.
Hampi was the seat of the great Hindu Kingdom, Vijayanagara. This awesome landscape is located along the banks of Tungabhadra River in Karnataka state, India. Hampi has been included by UNESCO in the list of World Heritage Sites.
