Colonel Bailey’s Dungeon, Mysore
Colonel Bailey’s Dungeon, a fortress named after Colonel Bailey who passed away here in 1780 A.D. This dungeon with measurements of 30.5m x 12.2m is built of brick and mortar. It is said this dungeon was used to imprison Captain Baird, Colonel Brithwite, Captain Rulay, Frazer, Samson and Lindsay by Tipu Sultan.
One can also see a cannon which rolled back piercing the ceiling and fell into the dungeon during the military blockade at Srirangapatnam. It is situated at Srirangapatna also known as Srirangapatnam in Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India.
