Bylakuppe Buddhist Temple
One of the two major Tibetan settlements in India, Bylakuppe is located a few kilometers from Kushalnagar, a town near Mysore in Karnataka. Bylakuppe, established by Lugsum Samdupling and Dickyi Larsoe, is known for its monasteries, handicrafts, carpet factories, and incense factory.
The Buddhist Golden Temple here is a prime attraction of Coorg, a hill town in the state. The monastery is home to more than 7,000 monks and students.
