Bhagamandala in Coorg
Famed as a river confluence, Bhagamandala is one of the most visited destinations in Coorg, Karnataka state of India. It is situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Kaveri (Cauvery) and the Kanika, with the third river Sujyothi joining from underground. The temple here was constructed in the Kerala style of architecture and it has small shrines dedicated to various gods. It is believed that if you take a dip in these holy rivers, you will be healed of various physical and psychological maladies. Devotees perform several rituals to propitiate their ancestors on the banks of these rivers.
