Bears at Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore
The Bannerghatta National Park, located near Bangalore or Bengaluru city is one of the most famous national parks in Karnataka state, India. This well preserved sanctuary sprawls over 25,000 acres of land and is home to panthers, lions, tigers, bears and a large variety of birds. The park is noted for its conducted Tiger-Lion Safari organized by Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC).
The main attraction of this national park is its zoological reserve, run by the Bannerghatta Tiger and Lion Reserve, which includes tigers, lions and other mammals and a Butterfly park which contains more than a thousand varieties of butterflies and was commissioned in 2006. The other attractions are the crocodile and snake farms.
