Dhori Mata Tirthalaya Hazaribagh, Jharkhand
This video features Dhori Mata Tirthalaya, one of the most important tourist spots in Bokaro district, Jharkhand state in India. It is located about 40 km away from Bokaro in Jarangdih.
The uniqueness about this place is that it is a mixture of church and temple. You get to see the statues of Jesus Christ along with Dhori Mata (the goddess). It is believed that a coal miner found the statues in 1956 while digging for coal.
The Tirthalaya was formally inaugurated on 30th October, 1983. It is a well decorated temple from inside and spacious too. You can see many paintings of Jesus Christ inside this Tirthalaya.
People of all religions visit this place to offer their prayers. It is a unique place in its own way and a very big function is held every year in the month of October when people from all over India participate.
