Village Landscape, Hundar

Some of the villagers of Hundar move out to less harsher places during winter months. Some move down to Leh and other parts of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, India. But there are still others who faithfully follow the seasonal rhythms of this village, as their full time homeland.

Houses here follow a similar pattern, made of locally available stones and timber. Almost all households in the village have their own share of farming.
