Eid celebrated in Kashmir

Muslims in Kashmir celebrated Eid festival one day earlier than their brethren in other parts of India. Thousands of devotees gathered at the Eidagh in Srinagar, and made special prayers marking the end of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Srinagar prayers were held in Eidgahs all over the Kashmir valley.
