Yakshagana Part 6

Yakshagana is an old dance form which has its roots in Karnataka state of India. It has a strong classical background and the performance is based on the Hindu epics like Ramayana and Mahabharatha.

Kamsavadham is a dance story in Yakshagana which describes the killing of Kamsa, the uncle of Lord Krishna and the ruler of Mathura. This video features the war between the demon king Kamsa and Lord Krishna accompanied by his brother Balram.
