Dr. Radhakrishna Pillai about the Cancer Pathways and Practices

Here, Dr. Radhakrishna, an eminent Cancer researcher, tells about the various pathways of cancer and how well Indians understood about Cancer as a disease. He also suggest that a good public health system is required for improving the environment and more awareness programmes must be conducted.

Dr. Radhakrishna Pillai is currently the Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Previously he was a professor of molecular medicine at the Regional Cancer Center (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram. He is also an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and the Indian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Pillai has been at the forefront of cancer research for over two decades. Along with his large team of collaborators, he have been trying to understand the processes and pathways through which cancer manifests in the human body, and has been seeking novel cures for it.
