Step well at Lakshmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara

The Lakshmi Vilas Palace built in the Indo-Saracenic tradition is one of the fine attractions in Vadodara (formerly Baroda), Gujarat state of India. The palace structure is a mix of Indian, Islamic, and European architectural styles.
The interior of the palace is full of multi-colored marble, mosaic tile and features various art works. Commissioned by Maharaja Sayajirao, the palace has his personal museum, which displays original paintings by Raja Ravi Varma. The palace also has a golf course.
The museum is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the entry fee is Rs.25/- for Indians and Rs.100/- for foreigners.
