Sidi Sayyid Mosque, Ahmedabad
The video is of Sidi Sayyid Mosque, built in the later half of the 16th century by Shaikh Sayyid, a noble man lived during the reign of Sulthan Muzaffar Shah III.
Inside the mosque, there are 15 sections with different inner dome-styles. The aesthetically built mosque has ten semi-circular tracery windows. The traceries bear close resemblance with the silver filigree works of Gujarat. The two windows on the west of the mosque have unique naturalistic patterns. Wooden models of these windows have found place in the New York and Kensington Museums.
