Reception Centre of Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary
Established on 18th September, 1965, Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling area of land, comprising dry deciduous forests along with evergreen and semi-evergreen vegetation and grasslands, fed by rivers and streams.
Once a part of the erstwhile Junagadh state, in 1965 Gir was declared as the last shelter of Asiatic lions.
