Granaries of Champaner - Makai Kothar
Makai Kothar is a three-domed architecture, which serves as a store house or granaries for maize. Makai means maize and Kothar means store house in Gujarati.
Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park in Gujarat is a UNESCO-protected project which is noted for its various structures like mosques, temples, granaries, tombs and wells. Situated at the foot of and around the Pavagadh Hill, best time to visit is during July to September.
Champaner is 45 km from Vadodara, accessible by bus or private vehicles. Four wheelers can also be hired from Vadodara.
